antiquus postremo

'antiquus postremo' is latin for "ancient future". ancient-future is a term used by the so-called "postmodern church" or emerging church to envision what the future of the church might look like if we returned to modeling the early church as described in the book of acts. anyway, ancient future for this blog just means that I'm writing about what's happening right now in my life, kind of like saying "yesterday's tomorrow".

My job interview this afternoon went well. I was actually interviewed by three different people at the same time in various administrative positions in the organization. Probably would have been really intimidating if they hadn't been so easygoing. They did ask some really interesting questions though.

They were really passionate about their work. At the end of the interview, I had a chance to ask questions to them. I asked if they enjoyed their work, and why, and all three said they did and raved about certain parts of their work. Then I asked them if they received an inheritance tomorrow and didn't have to work for the rest of their life, would they come back to their job? They all said they would...perhaps after taking a couple weeks off, but they said that if they left they would miss it too much to not come back. And they said they would use their inheritance money to provide resources that the organization and the clients lack.

It's hard to find people that dedicated. We'll see what happens...they're going to call me tomorrow. (If you want a peek at this organization, check out the link below.)
